Second public consultation on policy white papers for SDGs leading to the Summit of the Future
UNESCO IESALC invites you to join a public consultation aimed at gathering innovative inputs for the development of youth-led policy white papers on the five Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) under review on this high level political forum cycle: SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
This 1.5-hour event will be a dynamic platform for youth and other youth-centered stakeholders to share insights, ideas, and recommendations they wish to be reflected in the drafting of the policy white papers leading up to the Summit of the Future.
This event will be moderated by Doris Mwikali, Policy Consultant of UNESCO IESALC, who will also lead the drafting process of the five policy white papers.

All registered participants will receive the connection link on June 15 and a reminder on the consultation day, June 17.
To prepare for the consultation, please revise below the SDGs to which you would like to contribute and the corresponding guiding questions. Each participant will have 2 minutes to make their remarks.
SDG 1 (No Poverty):
- What innovative policy approaches can effectively reduce poverty and ensure economic security for all, particularly in the most vulnerable communities?
SDG 2 (Zero Hunger):
- How can we leverage technology and sustainable agricultural practices to eliminate hunger and improve food security worldwide?
SDG 13 (Climate Action):
- What are the most promising policy innovations to accelerate climate action and enhance resilience against climate-related disasters?
SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions):
- How can we strengthen institutions and governance frameworks to promote peace, justice, and inclusivity in developing and developed countries?
SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals):
- What strategies can enhance global partnerships and multi-stakeholder collaborations to effectively implement and achieve the SDGs under review?
