Building bridges between Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and the University in Latin America

The purpose of the virtual seminar “Building bridges between Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and the University in Latin America” is to generate a space for dialogue and exchange of knowledge and experiences on the ways in which the TVET system and the university system can mutually nurture each other’s capacities, strengths and experiences to configure a higher education ecosystem that can respond with greater relevance to the diversity of needs of the youth and adult population of the region that seeks to develop its potential and talent at this educational level. It is co-organized by UNESCO IESALC, the Regional Bureau for Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (OREALC/UNESCO Santiago) and the Professional Institute DuoC. UNESCO IESALC Director, Francesc Pedró, will give introductory remarks, UNESCO IESALC Head of Research and Foresight, Emma Sabzalieva, will make a brief presentation and Research and Foresight Analyst, Eglis Chacón, will be one of the moderators.
The event will be held in Spanish, Portuguese and English, on May 16, 2023, from 10:00h to 12:00h, Caracas time, GMT-4.
