Leadership and Sustainable University Governance Program (private event)

The UNESCO International Institute for Higher Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (IESALC) is organizing, with the collaboration of Casa de América, the international course for rectors “Leadership and sustainable university governance. Towards the 2030 Agenda” as part of the Sustainable University Leadership and Governance. Towards the 2030 Agenda program.
The program begins at Casa de América, where rectors will share experiences and best practices with world experts in sustainability during three days of work and reflection. The sessions will take place on September 20, 21 and 22 at Casa de América. The sessions are aimed at developing a space for dialogue and collaborative work to strengthen the institutional strategy on sustainability and achieve the goals established within the framework of the commitments made for 2030.
After these three days, during the following eight weeks, the university team will participate in virtual activities with world experts to learn about good practices aimed at implementing sustainability within its Institutional Strategic Plan as an articulating axis to respond to the 2030 Agenda.
The main purpose of this program is to build capacities in institutions to support their sustainable transformation process. To this end, UNESCO IESALC promotes the development of the educational community’s capacities.
