Seminar: ‘Transformative pedagogies and active learning from a practical approach’.
10 October 2024 hora: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Discover strategies and practices that foster active learning and pedagogical transformation in the virtual classroom for a more dynamic and participatory educational experience.
Transformative pedagogies and active learning from a hands-on approach represent a fundamental evolution in the way education is conceived in the 21st century. This approach focuses on implementing methods that seek not only to transmit knowledge, but also to cultivate critical, creative and problem-solving skills in students, preparing them for the complex challenges of the modern world. Through transformative pedagogies, it promotes more equitable and inclusive learning, where every student has the opportunity to fully participate and develop their potential in an environment that values diversity and social relevance.
It will provide educators with concrete tools and resources that can be applied directly in the classroom. This includes training in new teaching techniques, the development of innovative educational materials and the exchange of experiences and best practices among education professionals. The aim is to create learning environments that are not only effective in terms of knowledge acquisition, but also inspiring and motivating, where students feel that their education is relevant and connected to their lives and aspirations.
It will be taught by Mónica Guerra, History, Geography and Social Sciences teacher and BA in Education from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Evaluation from the Universidad de Playa Ancha Ciencias de la Educación. Specialised in Curricular and Instructional Design.
