Seminar ‘Trends in education for sustainable development and global citizenship’.

UNESCO defines education for sustainable development as a continuous learning process that enables people to understand the complex interactions between economic (governance), social and environmental systems so that they can develop skills to address the global challenges of sustainable development. According to UNESCO, this education includes:
- Awareness and understanding: developing awareness of global challenges and understanding of the interdependence between humans and the environment.
- Values and attitudes: fostering positive values and attitudes towards sustainable development, such as social responsibility, justice and solidarity.
- Knowledge and skills: To provide knowledge and skills to address sustainable development challenges effectively.
- Participation and action: Encourage people’s participation and engagement in solving sustainable problems.
- Integrated approach: Integrating education for sustainable development into all aspects of formal and informal education.

- Why is global citizenship strategic?
It will be taught by Tatiana Molina, a bilingual engineer and master’s degree holder, with 14 years of experience in leadership positions, in the development of sustainability areas, strategy consolidation and high-impact relationships with different sectors within the sustainability and development ecosystem.
