Public Consultation Axis 8: the impact of COVID-19 on higher education

In preparation for the Regional Conference on Higher Education (CRES+5), which will take place from March 13 to 15, 2024, in Brasilia, networks, higher education institutions and groups interested in Higher Education are invited to participate in the cycle of virtual public consultations aimed at discussing and gathering information on the theme of Axis 8: the impact of COVID-19 on higher education.

This cycle is coordinated by Axis 8 consultant professors Juogreidin Coromoto Cerero Ramones, rector of Universidad Nacional Experimental Francisco de Miranda (Venezuela); Pedro Curi Hallal, full professor at Universidade Federal de Pelotas (Brazil); and Olda Maria Cano Lassonde, vice rector of Universidad Autónoma de Chiriquí and member of the Council of Rectors of Panama.

The public consultations will be held on October 26 and 27, 2023, organized in four 3-hour thematic sessions. Each session will begin with 1 hour of presentations by invited specialists and academic authorities, followed by 2 hours of debate, open to the interventions of all attendees.

En preparación para la Conferencia Regional de Educación Superior (CRES+5), que tendrá lugar del 13 al 15 de marzo de 2024, en Brasilia, se convocan a las redes, instituciones de educación superior, grupos interesados en la Educación Superior y demás personas a participar en el ciclo de consultas públicas virtuales destinadas a debatir y recoger informaciones sobre la temática del Eje 8: el impacto del COVID-19 en la educación superior.    

Este ciclo es coordinado por los profesores consultores del Eje 8, Juogreidin Coromoto Cerero Ramones, rectora de Universidad Nacional Experimental Francisco de Miranda (Venezuela); Pedro Curi Hallal, profesor titular de la Universidade Federal de Pelotas (Brasil); y  Olda Maria Cano Lassonde, vicerrectora de la Universidad Autónoma de Chiriquí y miembro del Consejo de Rectores de Panamá. 

Las consultas públicas se llevarán a cabo los días 26 y 27 de octubre de 2023,  organizadas en cuatro sesiones temáticas de 3 horas.
